Branding is an over-used "buzz word" that most clients don't truly understand, until they have a great one to brand with. I got my start back in the day designing logos & print collateral for big corporations who needed the same response from your audience as a rock tour shirt would get from a teenager. I don't ride motorcycles, I don't surf, I'm learning guitar, but I can still relate to the culture of your target market. I'm a chameleon, I'm a fan. I'm a musician, I'm a jock, I still go to music shows & hang out with bands. The way I stay young is to hang out with them, learn from them & listen. "Street Cred" is everything for my work. A lot of graphic designers & even illustrators can't even draw "old-school". I can draw anything. But my style has evolved over the years. I manipulate everything & anything, sometimes in a "collage style". But when some image needs to be rendered, I can turn that into a brand, or a logo, or an illustration to fit your needs.
